About us
Mana Pearl is the fruit of a meeting between two Polynesian producers of Tahitian Black Pearls and an international pearl wholesaler.
Philippe Cabral, born in Papeete, is a biologist by education and he is taking care of the pearl production on the farms. He is permanently living on the atoll of Rangiroa in the Tuamotu Archipelago. The respect of the environment is his first priority. In order to produce beautiful Tahitian Black Pearls, the lagoons need to be absolutely clean and its ecosystem should be respected. The ecological impact of pearl farming is very carefully monitored by the excellent knowledge of Philippe of the marine ecosystems.

He will first sort and grade the pearls. He will then transform them into Tahitian pearl necklace and other pearl jewelry. He focuses most of his energy in making the best possible matching for the pearl necklace and pearl earrings. His motto is “the right pearl at the right place”

Tahitian Pearls are one of the most mysterious and exotic of all the gems. In order to explain the magic of the birth of pearl, daily visit of our Gauguins Pearl farm is organized. But traveling to the remote island of Rangiroa is not possible for all the Pearls lover. Therefore we came up with this idea of creating Mana Pearl in order to explain how oyster make pearls, on the Internet. At the same time, we also want to offer the possibility for consumer to buy pearls on our website. All the pearls that we offer are coming from one of our pearl farms and have been produced in full respect of the environment. We are the only company on the Internet that can tell you exactly where the pearl is coming from because we produce them!
Our farm network consists of Gauguin’s Pearl and Maori Perles. Gauguins Pearl farm was created in 1990 and it the largest pearl farm of Rangiroa atoll. The company has more that 50 staffs, mostly coming from the island. We could create job opportunities for the local islander and at the same time make an eco-friendly aquaculture project.
Maori Perles has tow production site on Manihi and Ahe atolls. Theses two very old farms were respectively created in 1984 and 1991. They are located on the historical birthplace of the Tahitian Black Pearl in French Polynesia. These atolls are excellent for oyster larvae collection. These larvae will, after many years of care, produce the oysters that are suitable for producing pearls. These farms are under our control since 2005.
